Pros:

1. The internet provides the easiest way of finding an information related to the topic. Search engines like Google.com or Ask.com gives the all different websites that a user can check out.

2. The internet shows different point of views since different websites are created by many different website creators.

3. The internet does not require a lot of computer experiences to make it function.

Cons:

1. The source might not be a reliable source. Since, the website is really easy to create, people can post anything that they want to. The creator of the website might not have any backgrounds, but still can publish things.

2. Some students might not have the access to the internet sources. If the majority of the assignments from a class requires different internet sources, those students might not have the chance to get a grade that they want.

3. Since the websites give the variety of different information related to one topic, if the students do not clearly understand what they are supposed to find, students might end up with tones of information, but not really useful to their work.

What are the most secure ways of insuring the accuracy of learning information that you teach?

– The teacher should introduce different websites that is reliable. Students should be also taught how to identify the website’s credibility.

1. What are the different countries comprising the roots of Salsa?

Salsa is strongly related to Cuba. The music style is strong connected to Afro-Cuban beats which are Cuban Son, Guaracha, Rumba, and Guaguanco.  Cuban son is the product of a combination of African and European music.

2. What are the two major religions that are associated with Cuba (and therefore Salsa)?

About 85% of Cubans are Roman Catholic prior to CASTRO assuming power. Protestants, Jehovah’s Witness, Jews, and Santeria are also represented. Roman Catholic and Santeria are the biggest two religions.

3. How have the political differences between Cuba and the United States impacted the development of Salsa?

New York Salsa developed in a very rapid speed during late 1960s. New York Salsa stopped growing at the beginning of early 1960s because of Cuban Missiles Crisis. Also, the racism conflict became a stopper of the growth of Salsa music.

4. In which countries today is Salsa most popular?

In the 1990s Cuban Salsa or the New York Salsa became more popular in Europe. Salsa is still popular in New York and many of Latin countries.

5. What are the different types of Salsa and the differences between them?

Latin America Styles – This style is originated from Cuba and Caribbean islands region. This style is a mixture of both Cuban style and North American version.

North American Styles – This style is divided into two different major types by the distinct tempo. Los Angeles Style breaks on the first beat “on 1” and New York Style breaks beat “on 2”. New York Salsa is heavily influenced by Mambo and Jazz instruments in its early growth stage.
